Our take
I needed a fine slicing disc for my Cuisinart and the FP-8FD fits the bill. At $12, it's reasonably priced for a genuine stainless steel blade. It slices vegetables thinly and evenly, and the 5.75-inch diameter is standard for many models. Be aware that it's a single-function disc—only fine slicing, no shredding. Also, the plastic stem is not as robust as the metal ones on some older discs. But for precise, thin cuts, this disc does its job well.
